However, the champagne house from Reims not only stands for sophistication and perfection, but has also always stood for innovation.
At the behest of Madame Pommery, cellar master Victor Lambert created the first vintage brut in the history of Champagne, Pommery Nature 1874, in response to the demand for a wine that was “dry but not brittle, but ... soft, velvety and full-bodied”. This style is still evident today “in all finesse and smiling lightness” in all Pommery champagnes. Always different and always unique after slow maturation in the darkness of the chalk tunnels.
