An island to come home
Sylt, the brittle beauty in the north of Germany, attracts visitors at any time of year. Dunes and high waves in the west, mudflats in the east - and above all that light that always draws lovers back to the rugged North Sea island.
Away from the hustle and bustle, right next to a small marina, lies the Fährhaus Sylt. The hotel owes its name to its history, as it dates back to a time when there was no railway connection to the mainland and all guests travelled by boat. The former ferry house from the 19th century with its Victorian veranda is the picturesque nucleus of the white building complex on the Munkmarsch mudflats.
The distances between the generously proportioned rooms and suites, the restaurants and the spa are short and make it easy to simply leave everyday life outside and concentrate solely on your own well-being: ‘cocooning’ is the magic word. Those who prefer sporting activities can let the fresh wind blow around their noses on an extended mudflat hike up to the oyster beds in the north or find relaxation on the neighbouring golf course. This is always guaranteed.

Landscape & surroundings
Here the mudflats, there the forest: the Fährhaus is located in a very green part of Sylt and yet very central. It's not far to Keitum, and Kampen is also within easy walking distance. Sports enthusiasts can hike along the edge of the mudflats up to List, where the Sylt Royal, the island's oyster, is at home.
Pleasure & hospitality

The exposed location between the waterline and the golf course makes the Fährhaus Sylt a real retreat on the island. Peace and relaxation are practically served to guests on a silver platter - at any time of year.
