Passion for Beauty
It is always the stories that make a place truly special. The story of the FÄHRHAUS Koblenz began as early as the 19th century, when a small ferry carried travelers across the river and the house developed into a popular meeting place where people would stop, gather, and linger before continuing their journey. Frank Gotthardt, too, knew this place well — already as a young boy, the Fährhaus by the reservoir was one of his favorite maritime spots. Many years later — whether by chance or fate — the Koblenz-based entrepreneur was offered the opportunity to purchase the property. That was in 2013. In the years that followed, Frank Gotthardt realized his childhood dream at this very location: the creation of a luxurious boutique hotel. The grand opening of FÄHRHAUS Koblenz took place on February 14, 2019.
It is no coincidence that the architecture resembles a cruise ship at anchor. From the spacious terrace, the view extends far across the Mosel reservoir, while gentle hills caress the shimmering riverbanks. The hotel’s private marina, with eight berths directly at the property, further emphasizes its maritime character.
Guests can look forward to an indulgent stay in a stylish atmosphere: the 37 rooms, nine suites, and the penthouse of the luxury hotel impress with their elegant ambiance and modern design. The culinary offerings leave nothing to be desired either. The LANDGANG restaurant on the first floor serves as a lively meeting place for gourmets and business guests throughout the day. At the two-Michelin-star restaurant GOTTHARDT’S by Yannick Noack, connoisseurs experience contemporary haute cuisine at the highest level.
For moments of relaxation, the FÄHRHAUS SPA is the perfect retreat. Highlights of this wellness oasis include the panoramic pool with counter-current system, a Finnish sauna, and the sky terrace with its breathtaking panoramic views. The experience is completed by soothing massages and treatments based on natural products and sustainable practices. When will we see you?
